Experience the most scenic coastal walk the Gold Coast has to offer. As you enter the trail take in the glistening surf of Burleigh heads looking out toward the iconic Surfers Paradise skyline. Within the rainforest, you can spot the local eucalypt trees and pandanus groves. Details: The track is an easy grade and all pathed along the way, however there is some uphill walking to get your calves burning as you head to the top of the Tumgun lookout

4. Point Danger, Duranbah, Snapper Rocks and Rainbow beach to Kirra:
Start at Point Danger, the most easterly point of Mainland Queensland, right on the border of New South Wales. Take in the views and learn about the history of Captain Cook's discovery voyage past Queensland at the Captain Cook Memorial. Make sure to also take the Centaur Memorial and Remembrance walk, commemorating Australian merchant shipping crews during the Second World War.
From there make your way down to Snapper Rocks, home to the Roxy and Quicksilver pro surfing contests. You’ll also spot Queensland’s very first iconic yellow lifeguard tower here. Follow the trail past the Rainbow Bay Surf club to the Greenmount Headland and on to Kirra Beach for more dreamy ocean views. We love this walk as it offers equally as beautiful scenery as Burleigh but has a much quieter and local feel to it.
Distance: 3 km round trip
Duration: 45 mins
Details: Park at Point Danger and walk North toward Kirra and bach
Eat and Drink nearby: Start with a coffee and snack at Café Dbah or stop for a Fish and Chip lunch at Rainbow Beach surf club.
