Where to find the best sunsets in Noosa: A guide to hiking Mt Tinbeerwah (with maps)

If you're looking for one of the best spots to catch the Sunset in Noosa, be sure to head to the top of Mt Tinbeehwah, located in Tewantin National Park, just a 15-minute drive from Noosa Heads.

Getting to Mt Tinbeerwah:


The easiest option is to drive, as you enter the National Park area, it's a small gravel road to reach the car park at the end of Tinbeerwah Road entering Tewantin Nature Reserve. Access is suitable for any car. Enjoy the stunning tree surrounds along the drive up.

From the car park, it is less than a a 550m trail one way to the Mount Tinbeerwah Lookout. The walk is mostly paved and suitable for any fitness level. The lookout climbs to a fire tower offering 360-degree views over Noosa, the Pacific ocean and sunshine coast hinterland and mountains. You'll get to witness the sunset over the mountain ranges.





In the late afternoon, you may even spot abseilers and rock climbers.

Be sure to bring drinks and snacks while you sit and watch the view from the top.
